How Can You Help? Become Involved in the Providence Home Team!
There are many needs at Providence Home and we invite you to support us for better care of our residents and the community.
Please contact us at our e-mail address (pnkokonjeru@gmail.com) to talk to us about becoming a partner or helping in any way.
There are many ways to help, such as contributing financially, volunteering at Providence Home, becoming a partner and, of
course, praying for us. Some specific ideas are:
Sponsor a Child – For $30 a month you can provide school fees, clothes, medical care, food, shoes, counseling and school
supplies for a child at the Home. Just go to the Caritas for Children website and choose to sponsor a child from Providence Home.
Volunteer – If you are going to be in Uganda, or have a skill that could be useful to Providence Home, you could volunteer at the
Home. Contact the home if you are interested.
Donate Money For Daily Operations – Support the daily operations of the home. The approximate annual running cost for
Providence Home is approximately 50,000 USD. Money which can be used by the Sisters to maintain the food gardens, pay
school fees and medical bills for unsponsored children, pay staff salaries, and purchase basic necessities for the residents of
Providence Home is always needed and much appreciated
Sponsor a Project – There are many priorities for the improvement of the home such as:
1. Expanding the income generating poultry project
2. Expanding the income generating piggery project
3. Renovating the areas dedicated to the elderly
4. Building a Children’s dining area
5. Installing a gutter system for collecting rain water
6. Purchasing a solar system for lighting
7. Purchasing some Fire extinguishers
8. Expanding food gardens
9. Sponsoring children by paying school fees.
